A van slammed into the side of a building, setting both the vehicle and the structure's wall on fire in Costa Mesa on Saturday.

The accident happened shortly before 9 a.m. at Bear Street and Paularino Avenue.

The van jumped the curb before crashing through a traffic signal box, Edison utility boxes and finally slamming into the side of an apartment complex carport.
