Bruce Jenner wants to know what the future holds, and the star will explore that topic in a highly anticipated interview airing Friday on ABC.

"I want to know how this story ends, you know? How does my story end?"

In a new preview of Jenner's upcoming sit-down with Diane Sawyer, the Olympic gold medalist and reality television star said audiences can expect the special to cover a range of topics.

"It's gonna be an emotional roller coaster, but somehow I'll get through it," Jenner said.

Public interest in Jenner's future has reached a peak in recent weeks amid rumors of an upcoming gender transition.

Jenner made it clear that, whatever happens, family will always be a top priority.

"Those are the only ones I'm concerned with," Jenner said. "I can't let myself hurt them."

Jenner has six biological children and four step-children. Jenner and the Kardashian family are the stars of the reality TV show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
