Police officer, several others injured in South Los Angeles crash

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A police officer and several other people were injured in a car crash in South Los Angeles Friday morning.

The incident happened shortly before 11 a.m. near the intersection of Avalon Boulevard and 51st Street.

AIR7 was over the scene where two civilian cars and a patrol vehicle had damage.

As many as five people were hurt, but details about what led up to the collision were not available.

Several streets in the area were closed as authorities investigated the crash.
