Crash between car, 2 tractor trailers in Castaic leaves 2 dead, 1 injured

CASTAIC, Calif. (KABC) -- Two people were killed and one person injured following a crash on Highway 126 in Castaic Tuesday morning, Los Angeles County fire officials said.

The crash, which was reported near Chiquito Canyon Road around 9:30 a.m., involved a passenger vehicle and two tractor trailers.

The cargo from one of the semi-trucks scattered across the roadway.

All lanes on Highway 126 were closed for the investigation. Motorists were advised to use the 118 Freeway and Highway 23 as alternate routes.

The injured victim was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No further details were immediately released.
