Elderly woman crashes into 7-Eleven in La Habra
An elderly woman crashed into a 7-Eleven store in La Habra on Saturday, police said. No one was hurt.

LA HABRA, Calif. (KABC) -- An elderly woman crashed into a 7-Eleven store in La Habra on Saturday, police said. No one was hurt.

The crash happened at the 7-Eleven located in the 2000 block of East La Habra Boulevard around 10 p.m. According to police, the woman hit the gas instead of the brakes. She was trying to park at the time.

The car took out the cashier's counter and caused other significant damage. The storefront was boarded up as clean up got underway Sunday morning.

According to store clerk Balwant Singh, he was brewing coffee at the time of the crash. He usually spends the majority of his shift behind the cashier's counter.

Singh said the woman is a regular customer who buys everything from chewing gum to cigarettes.

No arrests were made, police said. An investigation was ongoing.
