Gunman sought in East Los Angeles deputy-involved shooting

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were searching for a suspect near Laguna Park in East Los Angeles Saturday night following a deputy-involved shooting.

Investigators do not believe the suspect was hit. A helicopter was circulating the area. Deputies set up a containment area in the neighborhood.

A SWAT team was scouring the 1000 block of Ditman Avenue for the suspect involved.

The Ditman Avenue off-ramp on the northbound 5 Freeway was closed until further notice. No further information was immediately released.
