GREENWICH, Conn. -- A man found on fire on top of a Metro-North train early Sunday has died of his injuries.

Crews were responding to reports of a power outage when they found 21-year-old Brian McClellen of Cleveland, Ohio on a train heading from Greenwich to Grand Central Terminal.

MTA police are investigating how he got on top of the train, and whether he struck the overhead wires.

The fire was extinguished and McClellen was taken to Westchester Medical Center, where he died Monday.

The trains are powered by overhead electrical wires.

The train was carrying about 20 passengers. They had to get off and take another train into New York.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
