BELL, Calif. (KABC) -- A street vendor is recovering from surgery after being shot several times in Bell Tuesday night.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. on the 6800 block of San Luis Avenue. Police say the victim was selling corn when he was approached by one or two male suspects.
The victim was shot three times. He underwent surgery overnight and is expected to survive.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. Police say there were a lot of people in the area at the time.
