Man shot to death near Cypress Park mobile home park; suspect at large

CYPRESS PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A search is underway for whoever shot and killed a man outside a mobile home park in Cypress Park early Thursday morning.

Los Angeles police received a call about shots fired on Avenue 27 at Poplar Avenue around 2:20 a.m. behind AAA Trailer Home Estates.

Witnesses told investigators they saw a Hispanic male fleeing the scene.

Responding officers found the victim in the street with a gunshot wound and not breathing. He was transported to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s.

A motive for the shooting was under investigation.
