MORENO VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Police on Friday are searching for a man accused of attempting to kidnap a jogger in Moreno Valley.

Moreno Valley police said the kidnapping happened near the intersection of Hidden Springs Drive and Mountain View road at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday night.

A 25-year-old woman was jogging in the area when she noticed she was being followed by a man driving a mid-1990s Ford F-150 regular cab truck.

A short time later, the victim jogged near the truck, which was now parked, and the driver stepped out of nearby bushes before grabbing her, police said.

The suspect attempted to carry the woman to his truck, but the victim was able to escape and called 911 as the suspect fled the area.

The suspect was a Hispanic man between 38 and 45-years-old. He is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds and has short, dark-colored hair and "facial stubble," according to Moreno Valley PD.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and black pants.

Surveillance video from the Moreno Valley City-Wide Camera System confirmed the F-150 is a two-tone green over tan truck, which had a large piece of furniture strapped down in the bed.
