Missing elderly couple from Carson killed in crash, family says

CARSON, Calif. (KABC) -- A married elderly man and woman who were reported missing from Carson have been killed in a car crash, according to family members.

Joe and Connie Bracero, who both had Alzheimer's, were last seen leaving their home around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Authorities say the two crashed their car into a median on the eastbound10 Freeway near Blythe. Joe, 73, and Connie, 75, were found dead in the overturned vehicle Tuesday afternoon.

Family members say they tried to disable the couple's vehicles but they think Joe somehow got one fixed.
