AGUA DULCE, Calif. (KABC) -- Two people were injured when the plane they were flying in crashed in the Agua Dulce area Friday afternoon about 2 miles from Agua Dulce Airpark at about 2 p.m.

The single-engine Cessna 152 crashed onto a dirt road near West Sierra Highway and Shady Lane. The plane reportedly took down power lines as it landed.

The passengers, a man and a woman, were airlifted to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia. The two patients were not identified. The extent of their injuries was not immediately released.

"I couldn't see her, and she wasn't making any noise, and I think she was out when I got him out," said Katrina Flack, a bystander who rushed to the plane when it landed.

"He was just moaning. He could tell me his name and then he could pull himself a little bit once I got him unhooked, he could pull himself and twist around a little bit when I had his arm," said Flack. "So he pulled himself out coming up towards me. He was in shock."

Southern California Edison crews were on scene to restore power knocked out by the downed power lines.

The cause of the crash was unclear. The incident was under investigation.
