VENICE, Calif. (KABC) -- An Uber driver was caught in the line of fire during a gang-related shooting in Venice.
The male Uber driver was shot while driving southbound on Louella Avenue from Lucille Avenue around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Three passengers, two males and a female, were inside the Uber car at the time of the incident. Police said the shots were fired from another car that pulled up alongside them, carrying 3 or 4 individuals.
The driver was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
The search continues for the shooting suspects.
The passengers were taken into custody in a different case.
