West Hollywood man killed in hang-gliding crash near Sylmar

A West Hollywood man was killed Saturday while hang-gliding down Kagel Mountain Peak near Sylmar.

Crescenta Valley sheriff's deputies received a call at about 6:20 p.m. from one hang glider who had descended the mountain with a group of five people, but only four made it to the rally point.

Deputies later found the body of 59-year-old Markus Michael Albert Schaedler at Contractors Point.
