OXNARD, Calif. (KABC) -- Oxnard police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 29-year-old man in an alley over the weekend.
The incident occurred Sunday just after 2 a.m. on the 600 block of South Oxnard Boulevard, officials said.
Police said several people were involved in a verbal argument in an alley that turned into a physical confrontation. A suspect described as a Hispanic male shot the victim and then fled the scene in a dark colored vehicle, police said.
Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released the victim's identity, but described him as a 29-year-old Hispanic male.
