Gunshot victim walks into Palms restaurant for help

PALMS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A gunshot victim walked into a restaurant in Palms Monday night asking for help, officials said.

The male victim, between the ages of 25 and 30, walked into the Bamboo Restaurant in the 10800 block of Venice Boulevard at about 9:35 p.m. Workers called 911 after realizing the man had been shot in the abdomen.

Paramedics transported the man to an area hospital. His condition remains unknown.

Police are searching the area for possible evidence and any eyewitnesses to the shooting.
