Pedestrian struck, killed by hit-run driver in Pacoima

PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Thursday night in Pacoima, officials say.

The collision was reported at 8:23 p.m. in the 10600 block of North Laurel Canyon Boulevard, a short distance from the interchange of the 118 and 5 freeways.

One person, believed to be a woman in her 50s, was reported deceased at the scene.

Police say a person driving a Prius fled the scene.
