Mom killed, 2 kids injured in Montebello crash

MONTEBELLO, Calif. (KABC) -- A mother was killed and her two young children injured Wednesday night after a truck struck them while crossing the street in Montebello.

The accident occurred at about 8:20 p.m. in the 400 block of Garfield Avenue. The driver stopped at the scene. Montebello police did not suspect drugs or alcohol were related.

The two children, 5 and 9, were taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
