PHELAN, Calif. (KABC) -- Twelve people were injured after a pickup truck rear-ended a charter bus on the 138 Freeway in Phelan.
Dozens of people, mostly seniors, were aboard the bus at the time of the crash Wednesday night.
They had left San Manuel Casino in Highland and were heading to Lancaster and Palmdale when the pickup truck slammed into the bus at a stop light.
San Bernardino fire officials said a total of 12 people suffered injuries - six were non-critical patients and six others had minor injuries.
Fire Capt. Jeremy Kern said 25 bus passengers were transported to a nearby school to wait for another charter bus to the Antelope Valley.
Westbound lanes of State Route 138 were briefly blocked following the crash.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
