Security guard shot in the face in Pico Rivera

PICO RIVERA, Calif. (KABC) -- Police in Pico Rivera are looking for the person who shot a security guard in the face and fled early Monday morning.

The shooting happened just after midnight at the Wagon Wheel Bar on the 9300 block of Beverly Road.

Police say the security guard was trying to break up a fight when he was shot. The 37-year-old man was rushed to a local hospital with a lacerated lip and broken jaw.

The fight appears to be gang related, authorities said. The shooter remains at large.
