Single-engine plane makes emergency landing in Ontario field, police say

ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) -- A small plane made an emergency landing in a field in Ontario Wednesday morning.

The single-engine plane landed in the area of Ontario Ranch Road and Broadway Avenue, according to the Ontario Police Department. The pilot was alert and was being treated at the scene.

It's unclear what prompted the forced landing, but no bystanders were injured and no homes were damaged.
