Nearly 300 pounds of meth disguised as solar panels seized at LAX

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Nearly 300 pounds of meth disguised as solar panels was seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at LAX.

The shipment was headed for New Zealand but agents intercepted it after they received a tip.

Details about who the shipment belonged to and when exactly the bust was carried out were not available.

In a post on Facebook Monday, agents said they do this everyday and that the "criminal masterminds" never stood a chance.
