

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A driver was killed after his car flew off an overpass in downtown Los Angeles and landed upside down on the street below.
The car crashed through a railing on upper Grand Avenue just after 2:30 a.m. Friday and crashed down onto lower Grand Avenue below, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The fall was estimated to be 40 to 50 feet, which is equivalent to a 3 or 4-story building.
The driver, only identified as a 30-year-old man, died at the scene. He was the only person in the car.
No other injuries were reported.
Details about what led up to the driver crashing through that railing were unclear.
