LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A dangerous chase through the San Fernando Valley Monday evening ended in a violent crash when the driver - a possible DUI suspect - slammed through a wall near homes.
The pursuit ended just before 8 p.m. near Sherman Oaks Avenue and Fiume Street in the Encino area moments after the driver exited the 405 Freeway.
AIR7 captured when the driver hit the wall and sent debris flying in the direction of homes nearby. The suspect's red car also hit a parked car and became wedged in some bushes.

California Highway Patrol officers rushed the car and dragged the suspect out. The driver was then taken into custody.
During the chase, the driver fled at high speeds and almost lost control of the vehicle at one point.
The chase also went through Woodland Hills, Tarzana, Lake Balboa and Van Nuys.
