LAPD officers shoot person allegedly armed with pipe in Boyle Heights

BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police officers opened fire on a person they say was armed with some sort of pipe in Boyle Heights Monday.

The incident was reported around 11 a.m. along Gillette Street, between Bridge Street and Prospect Park, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Details about what led up to the shooting were limited, including the condition of the person who was shot.
