VALENCIA, Calif. (KABC) -- The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is searching for a man who they say exposed himself to a woman inside a Whole Foods store - a terrifying act caught on video.
The disturbing encounter happened on March 23 between 7:30 and 8 p.m. inside the store in the 24100 block of Valencia Boulevard in Valencia, according to sheriff's officials.
Investigators say surveillance video shows the man exposing himself to a female shopper. The footage, which has been obtained by Eyewitness News, is now part of the department's investigation.
Authorities say he also inappropriately touched the victim before leaving the store.
Customers who spoke to Eyewitness News expressed anger and disgust over the shocking video.
"A pervert is shopping with us. It's very upsetting," one shopper named Norma told Eyewitness News.
The department on Monday released a photo of the suspect wearing a denim shirt and jeans. He is described as a man in his 30s with black hair and brown eyes, standing just over 6 feet tall and weighing around 220 pounds.
Authorities say the suspect could face multiple charges, including indecent exposure and sexual battery.
Sheriff's officials are not aware of other similar cases in the Santa Clarita area.
Anyone who recognizes the man or who has information about the incident is asked to contact Detective Hatami at (661) 260-4000, ext. 5620.
