Bodycam video shows officers rescuing OC resident from burning home

WESTMINSTER, Calif. (KABC) -- Dramatic body camera video shows police officers running into a burning home in Westminster and rescuing a woman who was trapped inside.

The incident occurred Sept. 18 at a single-story house, where the attached garage erupted in flames that threatened to spread into the residence.

The body camera footage shows arriving officers entering the burning structure through a window and finding a woman trapped inside a bedroom.

The video shows one officer taking her by the hand before leading her to safety. Another adult was also rescued, along with a cat.

No injuries were reported.

Orange County Fire Authority firefighters arrived at the scene and quickly extinguished the flames.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
