3 injured in chain-reaction crash involving at least 8 vehicles in Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Three people were injured Friday afternoon in a chain-reaction crash involving at least eight vehicles in Sherman Oaks.

The crash happened at about 4:24 p.m. in the 15100 block of Ventura Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Video from AIR7 showed at least eight damaged vehicles involved in the crash. Three people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the fire department.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known. The Los Angeles Police Department said the incident was not a hit-and-run.
