'Something wicked this way comes' in the edge-of-your-seat, thrilling season finale of 'The Shards'

Grab your can of Aquanet and zip up your Jordache jeans and get ready for the season finale of "The Shards" on FX.

It's the twisted, exhilarating 1980s serial killer thriller and brainchild of Ryan Murphy of "Glee" and "American Horror Story" fame.

The cast says the Season 1 finals brings edge-of-your seat, explosive thrills.

In "The Shards," Bret Easton Ellis's best-selling novel is brought to the screen, as a circle of elite prep school seniors finds themselves in danger, hunted by an insane serial killer.

Igby Rigney plays a fictionalized, teenage version of Ellis, an aspiring young writer.

He's the show's narrator, and says you HAD to be there for the cast's table read.

"Having that massive season cliffhanger, Ryan said to our whole cast in the room" 'Okay, it's one of you. Bye!,'" Rigney laughs.

The show is a juicy, gorgeous, 80s-drenched murder mystery.

"It's fun and it's beautiful and it's scary and it's sexy and it's thrilling and it's intellectual and it's really aesthetically enticing," says Graham Campbell, who plays Thom Wright.

As it all unravels in the season finale, the cast collectively gushes about working with Ryan Murphy.

"The first ever time I got paid for anything, I think it was like $100 bucks cash or something like that, I used it to buy season four of 'Glee' on my dad's iPad," recalls Campbell.

Hayes Warner is a recording artist and certified "Gleek."

"Beyond," she says. "I would watch it LIVE."

Murphy cast her in her professional acting debut in this series as Debbie. She says it's her dream role.

"I'm not exaggerating," Warner says. "This is a dream come true, a dream come true scenario."

She says viewers should eliminate all distractions when you watch this finale.

"Do not be multitasking," says Warner. "You have to keep your eyes on the screen."

So, what can we expect in the finale?

"Everything comes to a head," says Rigney. "Everybody has a little stink on them."

No spoilers, but the cast can promise this:

"We've got some cliffhangers for you," says Jordan Roth, who plays Steven Reinhardt. "We are all hanging off a cliff. Something wicked this way comes."
