All eyes will be on Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny this Sunday as he brings pop culture and Spanish-language music to one of the largest stages in the world.

Bad Bunny is set to headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show Sunday, approximately 90 minutes after kickoff at 6:30 p.m. EST.

Born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny got his start in his church choir.

He first caught attention after uploading his music to SoundCloud while bagging groceries at a local supermarket.

Bad Bunny's stage name comes from a childhood photo of him dressed in a bunny costume, an image he said captured his early rebellious spirit.

The performer gained fame after signing with Hear This Music in 2016, collaborating on hits like "Mayores" with Becky G, and the Billboard No. 1 song "I Like It" with Cardi B and J Balvin.

He later joined Rimas Entertainment, self-producing his debut album "X 100PRE," and establishing himself as a leading voice in Latin music.

Bad Bunny's albums, including "YHLQMDLG," "El Último Tour del Mundo," "Un Verano Sin Ti," and "Debí Tirar Más Fotos" have topped charts, broken records, and won multiple Grammys.

Earlier this week, "Debí Tirar Más Fotos" made history as the first all-Spanish-language album to win Album of the Year at the Grammys, also taking home trophies for Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Music Performance.

Known for his activism and cultural pride, Bad Bunny paused a European tour in 2019 to protest homophobic and sexist remarks from Puerto Rican leadership, and regularly uses his platform to support social causes.

In 2025, Bad Bunny held a 31-show residency in his hometown in Puerto Rico, partnering with local businesses and keeping tickets affordable for locals.

His world tour continues into 2026, but does not include U.S tour dates due to concerns over ICE targeting his fans.

Bad Bunny is a cultural phenomenon that extends beyond music.

Fans are learning Spanish ahead of his halftime performance and several universities are offering Bad Bunny-focused courses.

This will not be the first time Bad Bunny takes to the NFL stage, as he previously performed during the 2020 halftime show with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.

As he prepares for Sunday's performance, Bad Bunny said the show will be a celebration of joy, dance and cultural pride, showcasing why he is a global music icon.
