The Tuesday before Valentine's Day is known as Red Tuesday because it's the day many people are dumped by their significant other.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- It is the most romantic time of the year, but the Tuesday before Valentine's Day is known as Red Tuesday.

The nickname comes from the large number of people who break-up with their significant other.
