VIDEO: Surveillance footage shows moments before shooting near Ferguson

BERKELEY, Mo. (KABC) -- St. Louis County police released surveillance video that shows the moments leading up to the fatal police shooting in Berkeley, Missouri.

In the upper left corner of the screen, you can see the suspect raising a handgun at the police officer, leading the officer to open fire and kill the man.

The shooting happened in Berkeley, Missouri near Ferguson, where a police fatally shot 18-year-old Michael Brown in August.
