Waymo car caught driving in wrong lane amid World Cup traffic in LA

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- Video captured in Inglewood shows a Waymo self-driving car traveling in the wrong lane and heading toward oncoming traffic.

The footage shows the vehicle stopped to the left of the double yellow line as it moves along a roadway near Century and Crenshaw boulevards. The video was recorded by Kimoon Kim in the area while there was heavy World Cup traffic.

The driver said he feared a serious crash could occur. The situation changed abruptly when the car cut off the driver and merged back into the correct lane.
