
LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle during a street takeover early Saturday in South Los Angeles, police said.
The incident happened around 3:40 a.m. near the intersection of 104th Street and Western Avenue. Police said the victim, described only as a female, was watching the takeover when she was hit by a car.
She was taken to a hospital in severe condition, authorities said. Police said her friends stayed by her side as they waited for help to arrive.
No one has been taken into custody. Police are investigating the incident as a hit-and-run.
