HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Rain hit the Orange County coastline Thursday night, soaking what is usually a sunny vacation destination and catching many tourists caught off-guard.
But in the midst of California's extreme drought, the storm was a welcome surprise.
Another band of rain moved in Friday morning and Huntington Beach got soaked. Surfers had to battle rough conditions in the water but the payoff was sizable waves.
