Pasadena announces COVID safety protocols for Rose Parade, Rose Bowl
Here are the COVID safety protocols you need to know if you plan on buying tickets for the Rose Parade or Rose Bowl

PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Following a one-year hiatus due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game are returning to Pasadena in just over two weeks.

Now city officials are addressing new concerns for the 2022 editions, and if you're planning on purchasing tickets for the New Year's Day events, there are some things you need to know.

There will be COVID-19 safety protocols in place that must be followed.

Ticket holders for the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game must show proof of vaccination or show proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event. For those watching along the parade route, proof of vaccination will not be needed.

Masks are also required for the events. The same rules apply to the ticketed post-parade Floatfest.
