Woman killed, young girl wounded in Long Beach shooting

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A woman was killed and a young girl was injured in a shooting Saturday night in Long Beach, police said.

The shooting was reported at 9:21 p.m. at 9th Street and Locust Avenue.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the girl was transported to a trauma center.

Conflicting information was given about the girl's age, ranging from 2 to 4 years old.
