Viral video shows Utah police officer babysitting little girl, watching cartoons

OREM, Utah (KABC) -- A video of a little girl and a Utah police officer is going viral for a very cute reason.

The footage shows a 2-year-old girl snuggling up to Officer Kevin Norris, who babysat her while her father was in court.

The little girl's father, Jose Moncayo, had to attend traffic court on Jan. 27. The judge told Moncayo his daughter Abisai couldn't stay in the courtroom so Norris stepped up.

The two went out for a walk, got a drink and watched cartoons on his cellphone. Before Norris knew it, little Abisai snuggled up to him and fell asleep until her dad picked her up.

Moncayo said he was surprised at the adorable sight.

Norris said he was happy to lend a helping hand.

"It's a common, decent thing to do," Norris said. "I think anybody would've done (it). Somebody needed help and I was there. (Abisai) was very active and very sweet."
