Allisha Gray, Cameron Brink among Team USA 3x3 participants

The Atlanta Dream's Allisha Gray and 2024 WNBA draftee Cameron Brink are among 17 athletes expected to participate in the Team USA 3x3 women's national team training camp Wednesday to Saturday.

The camp, held in Springfield, Massachusetts, will help prepare players for the 2024 Paris Olympics and other 3x3 events. No specific date has been given yet for announcing the selection of the U.S. women's teams for 3x3 and 5-on-5 competition at the Olympics. The camp will be run by 2024 USA 3x3 national team head coach Jennifer Rizzotti and assistant coach Tammi Reiss.

Gray, the 2017 WNBA Rookie of the Year, teamed with fellow WNBA players Stefanie Dolson (currently with theWashington Mystics), Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young (both from theLas Vegas Aces) to win the 3x3 gold medal for the United States in the sport's Olympic debut in Tokyo in 2021.

Other current WNBA players scheduled to be at the camp are: Dearica Hamby (Los Angeles Sparks), Rhyne Howard (Dream) and Lexie Hull, Kelsey Mitchell and Katie Lou Samuelson (Indiana Fever). Samuelson was originally on the 2021 Olympic team but couldn't compete after testing positive for COVID-19. Young took her place.

Brink, who just completed her Stanford career, played on the 2023 FIBA 3x3 Women's World Cup team that won gold, along with Cierra Burdick, Linnae Harper and Hailey Van Lith -- all of whom also will compete in the upcoming training camp. Van Lith played three seasons at Louisville and just completed her fourth at LSU. She has one year of eligibility left for college via the COVID-19 waiver and is in the transfer portal.

Burdick (Tennessee), Harper (Ohio State), Blake Dietrick (Princeton) and Camille Zimmerman (Columbia) all play professionally overseas and will be at the camp.

Also participating will be other college players who competed this past season:Azana Baines (Seton Hall), Christina Dalce (Villanova), Lucy Olsen (Villanova, currently in transfer portal), Madison Scott (Ole Miss) and Mikaylah Williams (LSU).
