Keyshawn Johnson, ex-NFL star, arrested for domestic battery

CALABASAS, Calif. -- Keyshawn Johnson, a former NFL star, was arrested Monday at his Calabasas home on misdemeanor domestic battery.

Authorities responded to a call regarding a possible spousal assault just before 1 a.m. Deputies determined that Johnson and his ex-girlfriend were involved in a domestic dispute.

Johnson was taken into custody without further incident. He was released at 9:15 a.m. after posting $20,000 bail.

The 41-year-old Johnson was a wide-receiver for the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers. He retired after the 2006 season and joined ESPN in 2007 as an NFL studio analyst.

Johnson was the first contestant eliminated on season 17 of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars."
