Kristi Toliver reuniting with Sparks, re-signs with team

All-Star guard Kristi Toliver who spent seven seasons with the Los Angeles Sparks (2010-16) and helped them win a WNBA championship in 2016, re-signed with the team on Monday.

Terms were not disclosed.

Toliver, a three-time All-Star, has averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 assists is a 38.7% 3-point shooter in her 11 seasons. She won her second WNBA championship ring last season, helping the Washington Mystics win the title.

"Heading into 2020 Free Agency, we wanted to add players that possess multiple skill sets and Kristi is at the top of that list," coach Derek Fisher said in a statement. "Kristi understands the habits and dedication required on a daily basis to build a championship culture. We're all excited to have her rejoin the Sparks family."

Toliver joined the Sparks in 2010 after being traded by the Chicago Sky, who drafted her third overall in 2009. The Sparks made the playoffs in six out seven seasons with Toliver on their roster.

"Returning to Los Angeles is special to me for many reasons," Toliver said in a statement. "I'm ready for what's ahead and can't wait to get started. I'm looking forward to a successful and exciting season with the Sparks."
