Los Angeles Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike will miss 4-6 weeks with a left knee sprain, the team announced Thursday.

Ogwumike, a former No. 1 overall pick who won WNBA MVP in 2016, averaged 13.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game last season.

She was injured during the fourth quarter of Tuesday's game against the Dallas Wings -- a 10-point loss that dropped the Sparks to 2-3 on the season.

Ogwumike has appeared in all five games this season, averaging 16.4 points per game.

Her sister Chiney also has been ruled out of Thursday's game against the Indiana Fever, as well as Saturday's game against the Chicago Sky.

Chiney, a former Rookie of the Year and two-time All-Star, is listed as week-to-week with right knee soreness.

She will be reevaluated before L.A.'s road trip next week to Washington and Minnesota.
