LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Marge Hearn, Los Angeles Lakers announcer Chick Hearn's longtime spouse and partner, died of natural causes Saturday night at the age of 98.

The Hearns were married for 64 years until Chick died in 2002. It was a sad day for the Lakers, and the team's president Jeannie Buss released a statement about her.

"We are very sad at the passing of our beloved Marge Hearn," the statement said. "We consider ourselves blessed and fortunate, however, to have had her be a part of the Lakers family for six decades. She was truly the First Lady of the Lakers, sitting alongside her husband, the voice of the Lakers, Chick Hearn."
