The Los Angeles Sparks have re-signed 2019 All-WNBA guard Chelsea Gray, the team announced Friday.

Gray averaged 14.5 points, 5.9 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game last season while being named an All-Star for the third straight year.

"Chelsea is a special player and person," coach Derek Fisher said in a statement. "Each season she adds elements to her already explosive game. She's foundational to everything we're building and we're grateful to have her in LA."

The Sparks were swept in the playoff semifinals by the Connecticut Sun in 2019.

Gray has been in training with USA Basketball and recently signed with Fenerbahce in Turkey, where she will play prior to the 2020 WNBA season.

"LA is home," Gray said in a statement. "I'm excited to be back and to get things started. We have a great group of women who are anxious to compete for a championship. The staff, organization, and fans are all ready to bring the trophy back to LA!"

The re-signing is part of a number of moves the Sparks have made this offseason. They signed two-time WNBA champion Kristi Toliver from the Washington Mystics and four-time WNBA champion Seimone Augustus from the Minnesota Lynx and acquired guard Brittney Sykes and center Marie Gulich in a trade with the Atlanta Dream.
