Los Angeles Sparks guard Sydney Wiese posted on Twitter that she tested positive for COVID-19.

Wiese said that she was "feeling well -- fortunate to only show mild symptoms, but I am capable of spreading it.'' She was playing overseas in Spain before testing positive and is now self-isolating at home in Phoenix, according to a release from the team.

Wiese said the symptoms she experienced were a loss of smell and taste. She also encouraged others to practice social distancing.

The 24-year-old has spent her career playing for the Sparks after getting drafted by Los Angeles in 2017 and averaged 4.8 points in 20.6 minutes last season.

She starred at Oregon State before turning pro, helping the Beavers reach the Final Four in 2016.
