Nearly 6,000 homeless people in LA could be affected by Olympic venue security plans, report says

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Nearly 6,000 unhoused people could be affected by security plans for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, according to a new report.
The report estimates that 5,975 people are currently living unsheltered within 1 mile of Olympic venues across L.A. County.
That figure is more than three times higher than the county's preliminary planning estimate.
The exact security zones for the 2028 Olympics have not yet been finalized. As a result, researchers said the number of people affected could change.
