101 Freeway reopens in Studio City after 3-hour closure

STUDIO CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A suspect was taken into police custody after his actions caused both directions of the 101 Freeway in Studio City to shut down for hours Friday afternoon.

According to California Highway Patrol, northbound lanes were shut down at Lankershim Boulevard just before 2 p.m. Southbound lanes were shut down at Cahuenga Boulevard.

The suspect was taken into custody around 5 p.m. All lanes in both directions of the freeway were reopened shortly after.
