EXPOSITION PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A memorial was held on Monday for a professor who was stabbed to death on the University of Southern California campus.
Many students, friends and faculty gathered at USC's Hahn Plaza to remember Professor Bosco Tjan, who police said was stabbed to death by 28-year-old David Brown, a student at the school, on Friday.
"Professor Bosco Tjan represents a shocking and a sudden loss and the most tragic page within the story of our Trojan family," C.L. Max Nikias, president of USC said.
The department of safety at USC said the stabbing stemmed from a personal dispute. Colleagues said Tjan was trying to help Brown.
"He basically gave him a second chance and this was second chance," Morteza Dehghni, an assistant professor of psychology at USC explained.
