Man shot to death in Valinda area; investigation underway

VALINDA, Calif. (KABC) -- An investigation is underway after a man was shot to death in the Valinda area early Sunday morning, officials said.

Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives said the shooting occurred in the 16000 block of Garrett Court shortly before 4 a.m.

The victim, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No additional information was immediately available.
