Spring storm breaks rain record in Palmdale
A spring storm brought flash flooding and hail, leading to street closures in the Antelope Valley on Thursday.

PALMDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- A spring storm brought flash flooding and hail, leading to street closures in the Antelope Valley on Thursday.



In Palmdale, streets around the Palmdale Regional Airport were flooded, including Avenue N at 50th Street. Avenue N remained closed Friday morning due to flooding.



The rainfall set a new record at the Palmdale Regional Airport, which received .96 inches of rain. The old record for the day was .19 inches in 1933.
